Australian Rangeland Society Conference 2008
The conference theme is: A Climate of Change in the Rangelands. This conference is an opportunity for managers, carers and users of the Rangelands to get the latest technical information from some of Australia's best researchers and rangeland managers in the areas of NRM, conservation and biodiversity, environmental risk management, multiple land use, tourism and mining in the rangelands, stewardship, indigenous issues and land management, and land restoration.
Queensland Landcare Conference
The program will include special keynote speakers, interactive workshops, lively plenary sessions, regional field trips and a trade exhibition with more than 20 exhibitors.
Tropical Savannas CRC - Savannas Futures Forum
What is the future for Australia's tropical savannas? Themes include landscape ecology and health, industry and community NRM, regional planning and management and human capability development. This will be the Tropical Savannas CRC's final forum, to which all members, past and present, and friends of the Tropical Savannas CRC are invited.
| Clarence Floodplain Project - e-newsletter | An innovative award winning project that has been actively addressing coastal floodplain issues for more than 10 years. Issues addressed include acid sulfate soils, wetland management, water quality, fish passage, and coastal lake management. More than 60 on-ground projects have been completed, and about 250 floodplain landowners are actively involved in the project. |
